Croydon Dog Friendly Pubs
Places for a beer with your furry friend!
A friend was asking me the other day for recommendations for dog friendly pubs in the Croydon area, and here are some of the best ones I can think of.
The Kingswood Arms
The Kingswood Arms In Waterhouse Lane Banstead, Tadworth KT20 6EB another firm favourite of mine since I was a young boy with a great beer garden at the back and lots of cosy areas for the dogs to lounge around in.
The Fox, Couldson Common
The Fox in Couldson Common, Caterham Greater London CR3 5QS is an 18th Century Village Pub & is always a firm favourite amongst dog walkers again because it is surrounded by beautiful woodland this time in the shape of Coulsdon Common & Kenley Common, they often do weekly quizzes to keep you entertained after a long dog walk!
The Botley Hill Farmhouse
The Botley Hill Farmhouse, Warlingham CR6 9QH is a 16th Century Country Farmhouse known for its breathtaking views at the Highest Point of the North Downs Way in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The Ramblers Rest
The Ramblers Rest In Chipstead Outwood Lane Coulsdon CR5 3NP. It’s always been popular with dog owners. Backing onto the Banstead Woods & Chipstead Downs it’s the perfect backdrop for a Sunday lunch and a dog walk after.
The beer garden is always dotted with dogs around the place and even the odd cat lol. Inside there are cosy snug areas for dogs to chill and dry off and easy ample parking at the rear between the Woods and the pub.
Crown & Sceptre South Croydon
32 Junction Road CR2 6RB. This local Fullers Pub tucked away on the Victorian ladder roads of south Croydon is a nice cosy pub with some really good value hearty food, dogs are always welcome and the staff always cater for their needs with fresh bowls of water and a selection of dogs treats behind the bar, the staff even know most of the regulars dogs by name!
The Builders Arms
65 Leslie Park Road Croydon, CR0 6TP. Another cosy Fullers pub tucked away on the Victorian side streets of Croydon, it’s very dog friendly, dogs must be on a lead inside, but are free to roam around in the secure garden at the back, not only is there fresh water Available for dogs but ICE too in the summer for the true VIP doggo experience!

The Oval Tavern
131 Oval Road, Croydon, CR0 6BR. This pooch friendly pub has a real community feel about it with, Quizzes, live music and others events, you can even purchase dog treats at the bar and the money goes to Local animal charities. You even get the odd neighbourhood cat chilling in the garden too!
Mr Fox
34 Surrey Street, Croydon, CR0 1RJ. This Uber trendy pub has a real Shoreditch vibe about it with Shuffle board games, Cocktails & a late license, the last time I popped in there was a gorgeous big Husky chilling out under the table, it’s a really relaxed vibe and super dog friendly, they really encourage it!
The Store Croydon
(formerly the Joker), 73 South End Croydon, CR0 1BF
This pub come bar has stripped back the building to reveal the most beautiful Victorian featured hidden for decades including a stunning mosaic floor and tiled walls, they are extremely dog friendly to the point where they will feature your super cute dog on their Instagram page and will even promote your dogs instagram page on theirs! @the.store.croydon. They even had a Santa Paws Brunch for dogs over the Xmas Period with Pawsecco on ice ??
